  • Let's settle this: Is it better to have loved and lost, or never to have loved at all? See all answers
    • Love confounds us all...
    • I am answering this after reading Kate-Lyns (person I follow, duh) answer. She had a remarkable point about all the pain and suffering people go through in order to find that one true love. This is true, but its also life.

My response is that without love people would just be like animals and reproduce with no emotions attatched, no feelings just keeping mankind going. Life would be much simpler and easier without love, but it wouldn't be much of a life now would it.

So I am a bit confuddled about this one, although there is much difficulty that comes with love, I would say it would be better to have loved and lost, because the hurt can create just as much inspiration for so many wonderful and beautiful things such as art, poetry and films as it creates suicidal maniacs and murderers.

Love does strange things to us all, and it takes us on quite a ride. I truely think its a beautiful thing and worth all the pain, because when you think back to those moments and memories with your loved one/s, how can you not feel the slightest ounce of joy?

When love comes into your life, you can almost forget about everything else in the world. So if 'love' were in an amusement park, I'd go for a ride.

Nice analogy! Have you ever noticed that some animals mate for life? Birds for instance. It's beautiful to watch. Rabbits bond, even after they're neutered. They pick a partner (be it another rabbit, a dog, a human, even a pillow) and will die if you separate them from their object of affection.
