Nobody is going to hand you anything on a silver platter, no strings attached.
The current culture says that government will hand you everything on a silver platter, no strings attached. So not true.
You are not your own.
The current culture says that people can do what they want without worrying about the consequences to others. Again, so not true.
If you succeed, it's because God helped you. If you fail, it's because you rejected God's help or it's not His will for you.
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Phillip 4:13)
Love God and love your neighbor.
Everything else hinges on these simple commandments.
Pay an honest tithe and a generous fast offering.
Give God the tiny 10% of your income that He's asking for in return for the Earth He created for you and everything in it. Give to others not only what you have in surplus, but also that which you must sacrifice to give. (Fasting once a month is a good way to clean out your system anyways.)
