I live in Greater London. It's easy to do public transportation rather than own a car. We couldn't afford a car anyway. I doubt being car-less will last forever. One of the things on my 101 things to do list is get my driver's license. I've had my provisional driver's license for years, but it's never been a priority. We'll likely buy a car at some point in the future but for now, it's public transport for us!
