From a stupid Daikini.

Willow was made in 1988, two years after I was born. However I'm sure they started filming in '86. And if not, at least the idea was already in the works. So I think it qualifies as a valid answer to this question.

I would like to think I was partially raised on Willow. That and Coming to America. I had a babysitter named Elina who had a giant crush on Madmartigan AKA Val Kilmer and would always watch Willow when she came over. No qualms, here. The Madmartigan crush transferred and I also wanting nothing more than to watch Willow.

I was thoroughly fascinated by the two Brownies:

"Rool, you fool, get out of the road!"

"I stole the baby! From a stupid Daikini while he was taking a pee pee."

"Not a woman? NOT A WOMAN?!"

Really, I love Lord of the Rings and other fantasy movies like that. But they do not hold a candle to Willow. This is where it all started, my friends.
