In high school, I hung around with a sarcastic judgmental smart-ass crowd, because that was exactly who I was. Blech!

If I had it to do all over again, I would act more authentically and respectfully, and try to meet people *more* than half way. Then I would just be nice to whoever this attracted.

I know it was good to go through that phase. At least I can muster compassion and understanding when I meet a smart-alecky person, now.
