I would hang out with the same people. I didn't choose 'band geeks' because I never perceived my friends as geeks. We were focused, talented, and driven musicians. We worked hard and participated in something we loved - music. There is quite no way to describe the fulfillment of creating music, and to play with others. It is an incredibly satisfying feeling, and something that I think everyone in our school appreciated and respected us for - we were not 'band geeks' to say the least, but were comprised of some of the top students in the school, the marginal few who pursued our interests and were supported for it.
