Books behind the bed

I actually used to get in trouble for reading too much as a child. Can you believe that? My mom used to make me put down my books and go outside and play with the dorky kids down the street. The teacher in home room used to tease me for reading too much. That just boggles my mind! If my mom found out that I used my allowance to buy books, she'd just shake her head in dispair. I used to read under the covers with a flashlight so I wouldn't get in trouble.
