Love. We think it to be a pure emotion, but is any emotion really pure? All emotions are linked to one another and I remember my High School English teacher telling us that Love and Hate were actually the same emotion. I didn't believe him then.

Everything evil starts with love. I love having money; thus, love can turn into greed, but it certainly started with love. A great romantic love can shift into a place where jealousy and power exitst, as we've seen in the Star Wars character Darth Vader... The root of his evil existance began with love; love for his mother, love for his lover. He'd do anything for those women and that drove him to the dark side eventually.

You can say that money is the root of all evil, but you'd be overlooking the actual root. I'm not saying that Love itself is Evil. I'm just saying that all humanity, good and bad, starts with love. Money certainly leads to evil, but it really never began then. The path to evil started way before money was brought into the story. And so it is NOT the root. It is simply the trunk or a branch in that evil tree.
