• 'It' was a scary movie . . . I've always hated clowns and this movie proved why.
    • Coming to the United States my first introduction to a clown was being on T.V. with Bozo the Clown (still have a picture of my brother and me with him, my teeth are clenched into a terrified grin) . . . pure sadist (I'd say my mother was also but I know she was just trying to give her kids "America"). He made us do the most stupid things . . . you could tell he hated kids . . . probably spent nights coming up with ridiculous antics for little, innocent, trusting children to be shamed by. Snarled at us when we asked questions, made fun of us. Kids know these things. I also know, if he could have, he would have lifted his leg with those 32 inch shoes and crushed every single one of us. So, when my son flipped out as Chuck E Cheese came towards him . . . I totally understood . . . and allowed him to hide under the table and made no excuse for his behavior . . . I had walked in his shoes.

Did I mention how much I hate clowns?

Clown technology is improving. When to the "Ringling Bros" circus a few years ago, and all the clowns seemed much more human. I think they are hitting the white pancake makeup less - clowns are less freaky when you can see their natural skin tone of their face.

{{Shudder}} I completely agree. Clowns are evil. I've always been more frightened of the inanimate ones. Doll clowns. They're so happy when adults are around, but glare at you in evil delight when they leave.

Yeesh . . . I felt the same way about those dolls that when standing up their eyes were open, laying down they were closed but eventually one eye went gimpy and would never close and late at night the one eye was staring at you . . .
