• Family ritual #1: Arguing
    • Arguing
Really the only thing we do on any real regular baises as an entire family unit. I'm not a fan of it so I try and sit it out.

      Christmas Eve (extended family ritual)
Not complaining though about the arguing, anything is better than those bloody Christmas gatherings I was forced to attend every year on christmas eve until 2 years ago. Ever year I live in fear that they will return, I know they will one day. Which is part of why I plan on moving to the opposite coast of the country. They are that bad. Have you ever heard Blink 182's Christmas song (thats really its name) Search it up on youtube and my distaste for this gloomy event will make more sense. Not a fan of the band but that could pretty well be the anthem of the night. We don't talk to these people the other 364 days of the damn year, not even once. So why in the hell do we have to take a night of the year that could actually be memorable and fun and spend it in a musty basement around people who have drank too much, or not enough, it can be hard to tell. There are but 5 people in our side of the family and their side keeps expanding, I feel like it doubles every year. I honestly could not name half of them. I don't think they would notice if we didn't show up. If my parents want to go by all means go, but why drag me? I promise to be no fun under such circumstances. Once I started working I went so far as to BEG to work Christmas Eve!

      Cruise night
The boys in the family and I head out to at least a couple show and shines with one of my babies (cars) a week and get rediculously terrible for you food afterwards.

Bizare slang and substitute swear words
My sister and I have several 'traditions' all our own. We like to use rediculous trendy of the moment slang, short forms, valley girl slang, gangsta slang. Just for the fun of it with each other, ew try to avoid it with other people. My mother learned to adjust to it and now actually uses some of it herself with the girls at work for fun, ah we have taught her well. lol.
