In my disco hey day

If I had been born in the early/mid-1960s (rather than 1971) then I'd've "come of age" in a wilder time... I'd've been a disco fiend, I'd've had a blast, and bizarrely enough I might have even had an easier time coming out b/c I'd've gone off to college and had San Francisco nearby during the heyday of the "gay 70s." Then again, I suppose it's for the best that I grew up in the 1980s... b/c otherwise I would've been in San Francisco for the "holocaust days" of the early AIDS epidemic. Simply put, I *know* that I'd've died from AIDS. Well, this entry certainly took a turn for the macabre.
