    • My stay at Four Seasons, Kona in Kona, Hawaii
    • I'm lucky to have a job that puts me in some pretty nice hotels around the world. Picking the nicest is tough, but the two weeks we spent at the Four Seasons in Kona, Hawaii put it right up there as quite possibly the nicest of any hotel I've ever been in. Certainly having my wife with me makes it better than all the nice places I've stayed by myself--the Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur has to be the nicest of those places.

Two memories of the Four Seasons Kona. First, the outdoor, lava rock shower in the room. Too cool. Second, the pool. They have little coaster-like deals with a turtle on one side. When you have the turtle showing, people shower you with attention and take orders. Turn it over and they leave you alone to relax. Turtle...I'll have a Pina Colada please (no, it's not a violation of man law to order a Pina Colada if you're within 100 yards of an ocean). No turtle...just the sound of the waves crashing on the beach in the distance. Turtle...a little Evian water mist for my face please...it's getting warm. Everyone should have those little turtle things around.
