I was excited to go to Disney World for the first time. I was seven and had a glossy 8x10 of Mickey Mouse stowed away in my suitcase. I had won it in a math contest in earlier that year. I was eager to have it signed. I remember the plane we rode on was huge and had bright red velvety seats. My poor mom got nausea on the way and was able to lay down in a row of empty seats. I have never seen a row of empty seats since that trip. Perhaps flying was a more glamorous experience in the 80's.
