That's the thing about mom-and-pop stores... they often do *not* offer any products that one cannot purchase at major chain stores. They just do it with more humanity. Lucky-7 is a smoke shop around the corner from the original Peet's Coffee, and it is also next door to my therapist's office. It's run by a really nice family... I think they're Eritrean, and I know they are Muslim. I blew them away when I greeted them in proper Quranic Arabic... which led to a long discussion about my belief that if we can start by learning how to great each other in multiple languages, all hope is not lost.

I am in the process of quitting the cigarettes, and I will likely be ending my therapy sessions before too long (thanks to the current healthcare system, I will lose my access to therapy once my job ends... yet *another* example of something that Obamacare would fix), so I probably won't see Lucky-7 for too much longer. But I will let them know not to worry about me. If it were 7-11, I can guarantee you I wouldn't do that.
