It was long after I moved out on my own actually - when I was living with friends and understood completely that I could grab the keys and walk out, hop in the car, and go somewhere I wanted to go without telling anyone where I was going or when I'd be back.

Sure, I was only going to the grocery store, but it was still awesome, and made me feel incredibly free.
