Caregiver awards
It recognizes parents who are selfless and go without for their kids, parents who genuinely GIVE for their kids. It goes for children who care for their parents or a relative who is ill and can't. People who really GIVE to their loved ones, to strangers, to someone other than themselves. People who are "nobodies". People who care for others, physically and from their heart.
Who the fuck cares about an actor? They get PAID to be good, and they get an award on top of it? That's their job! Musicians, too. That's their JOB and their award is their PAY.
No, make an award show for the mom or dad who busts ass for their kids and is hardly home because they work so damn much, a parent who is frazzled but is still there for the kid... a parent with duct tape on his shoes while his kid wears Walmart sneakers... good people. Like my mom, caring for her brother at the end of his life, like Christine, caring for her father at the end of his. THAT deserves recognition.
