There used to be one ...

Del Taco is one of those things I think of as "quintessentially SoCal" -- and I like it! It's like Taco Bell, but just a smidge less fast-foody. There are Del Taco locations throughout southern CA and Arizona, and they've expanded north as well. But for some reason one of the first Del Tacos in northern California is now closed -- it was the one just 5 minutes from my house. Now the closest one is in downtown San Francisco, 21 miles from my house, in an area with horrible parking that requires a $4 bridge toll to get there... or $8.20 roundtrip on the train.

Fortunately, my dear friend Anne lives in Orange County, equidistant from at least 3 Del Taco locations in the greater Santa Ana area. Yay!
