    • Whenever I see Santa Claus, I long to be a kid again
    • Lewis Yates and Santa Claus: Christmas, Florida (1947)

There is something timeless about Santa Claus. All year long, you worry about whether you are being good enough, what you will ask for, and whether he will visit your house at the end of December. The innocent trust and faith in such a secular(ized) being that little children have are something I look forward to experiencing again through the eyes of my new baby. I can remember traveling to New York to visit Santa at Macy's. The look of awe and reverence as we wove through Santa's Village and entered his cabin is one I can only wish we had memorialized. I visited Santa Land as an adult and got just as much pleasure watching all the excited kids and I did out of sitting on his lap myself. Better be good.
