I always thought it would be perfect to be born in 1950, in order to get the full "Americana" experience. Think about it: you're a child for the post-war boom years, you're a young teenager for the Beatles invasion, you're 19 for Woodstock, you're in your 20s during the psychadelic 70s, and then you get to be a creepy yuppy in the 80s (okay, so that decade just generally sucked as far as being in your 30s - see American Psycho - but, oh well - at least there was some excellent music!). My mother was born in 1950, and I've always envied that!
