- Better sorry than safe!
-
Following Jesus is one time where I'd rather be sorry than safe.
If Jesus was not the Son Of God then by following him I may be a fool, but I am a fool who found inner peace, higher calling, and was better to my fellow man b/c of His teachings. If he was the Son Of God, then I have the added bonus of knowing that I will live eternally.
For me then, it is better to risk being sorry than "safe" by being seen as "just like all my other friends" who might be Gay but not Christian, or call themselves Christian and say that Gays don't go to Heaven.
Because, in the end when I die, I know that I will be re-made into the perfection of Heaven ... God made me Gay, this I know. Whether that identity continues on into the afterlife, I don't know. Somehow, I think that the concept of sexuality (and sex itself) isn't part of the afterlife -- I think that when we go to God, we "revert" to some sort of unitary non-divided hive.
Again, perhaps I shouldn't write @Plinky when I'm starting to feel the effects of a sleeping pill. MMh. Sleeeeeep...
