There are plenty more fish in the sea.
It helps teach the use of metaphor. Which is always helpful when you are heartbroken.

Time heals all wounds.
So vague, so unreassuring. Time can be really long.

Everything happens for a reason.
Just try not the obssess about how the reason is because you are a loser.

You are so young, you have time to find the right one.
Of course, if you aren't young then, yikes...

You are too nice for him.
And let's hope you don't get back together now I have said this as that would be awkward.
