I remember going to Toys "R" Us with my mom some years back. As a child she did not have many toys and spent most of her time watching her siblings. So here we are in the store and I am looking around. I feel a tug on my shirt and it is my mom asking me to buy her a toy. Now normally it is the child who begs for toys, so If felt a little odd. However I bought her a doll that she wanted.

After that, every year I bought her a doll. She loved them so much. She named them and played with them. When she passed, I got most of her dolls back. I still have that first doll.

Sometimes all it takes to make someone happy is a silly little doll. Sometimes it just takes a little time to listen, to talk, to care.
