- I started listenig to music on cassette

It began with radio, but you want to listen to your favourite songs and you want to take them with you. So when I got a cheap walkman I recorded the songs I loved on the radio. I especially remember the holidays to France for which I made special mixed tapes the days before.
The funny thing with recording from radio is that no recording ever ended or started with just music, so there were always little pieces of a discjockey stuck between the songs. But those parts became part of the experience.
With everything being digital there is no need for recording anymore. Everything is on my computer and iPod, and I kinda like it that way. But I still like to make a CD with specific songs for a roadtrip or the like. Even if it’s a short cartrip, I absolutely love singing along with music. It can make a trip so much more enjoyable, just like with my walkman on our holidays to France.
