• The Courage that Mends
    • Yes, I consider myself to be a hero. I helped and encouraged a homeless man to overcome these obstacles he had encountered in his life. He was also walking the streets at the time and was very sick, probably with pneumonia. But with encouragement and no place to lay his head down during the day, he rallied back and found a new job. At night, he slept at the Salvation Army. He is now living in a townhouse, has a good job and met the Love of his Life and plans to get married in 2010.
Really, I should say he is my hero because he proved to me that anything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it. He had the will and determination to overcome the hardship he had experienced. He taught me a valuable lesson.....it can be done. He is my "Hero" and I will never forget him, even though we have never met face to face.
