• Hold breath helps rid hiccups
    • HIC HIC HIC hic HIC HIC hic hic HIC hic hic hic (pause) hic hic HIC HIC HIC (pause) HIC (pause) HIC (pause) HIC

      (repeat)

holding my breath until I turn invisible

Hold your breath. AND - With each "swallowed hiccup" that follows, draw in some air - it will be hard, but try to draw in as much air as you can, even if it is a tiny amount. The pressure downwards against your diaphragm will steadily increase, until you hardly have any reaction to a hiccup spasm in your diaphragm.

Hold breath for as long you can. No hiccup can resist the onslaught.

Battle-Bots against your diaphragm. Phew-Phew! Hiccups gone!

I try to explain this to my Baby-Love and to my daughter. Both think I am Krazy. But it works for me.

My daughter just rolls with the hiccups, pays them no mind. Drives me nuts. Personally, I am COMPELLED to squash my hiccups.

What this says to me is
    Next time I get Hiccups
    Give em to you
You are eminently more qualified to handle the situation than I
Although, if it ever happens again, I'll try to use your method first...
