when i was allowed, after 20 years, to drive my parents cars again. i had had one too many car accidents and as a result, my parents had for a very long time a rider on their car insurance that i was not allowed to drive their cars. as a result of this, it wasn't until i was about 32 that the insurance company finally dropped this.

it was then that i realized, not everything from childhood lasts forever.
