- If I Had Unlimited Resources, I Would ...
-
With truly unlimited resources - which is the myth of capitalism that has created an economic system that rewards environmental destruction, and literally punishes corporations that do not use up natural resources to create profit - I would first launch a PR campaign to explain to people that the concept of unlimited physical resources is not a sustainable economic model for the world.
I would then fund a think-tank of top scientists of the world to begin to solve the Gulf oil spill disaster - and fund their research and implementation of their solutions.
I would build factories to provide solar panels free of charge to all. - And de-humidifiers for clean water for all.
Then, I might buy a new set of senators and congressmen, and why not . . . "buy" a new president -- since that is the way it seems to work -- but then, this one might be ok if the House and Senate were not being "bought" by corporate lobbyists - then they could be more supportive of some of Obama's original visions and put individuals before corporations (oh, wait --- i forgot, corporations are people too).
I would create a sustainable community land trust for friends and family - based on permaculture practices with clean water, lakes, hot springs, 24hr massage and sound healing studios, organic gardens, orchards, blueberries, multi-media studios, domes and yurts for yoga and dance, amphitheater for music, theater and performance, a science and medical center, ziplines across canyons, and playgrounds resembling Dr. Seuss' most magnificent dreams.
There is so much more, but since I do not have unlimited time or resources right now . . .
