My favorite room consists of one black wall, just one on the wall with the window, all the other walls a bright beige. Closet doors filled with pictures, not only because I like seeing the people in my life and knowing they are the ones I can turn to (even if some of them are very very far away) but also because I have no more room in my scrap book :P
Which brings me to items that would be available in this room. A scrapbook with fresh pages and plenty of supplies to pretty it up with, a desk against one of these walls and on top would rest a laptop for writing, and a board game, Clue to be specific, completely laid out and ready to be played whenever. I would have writing above my door, possibly my fave verse from the bible, more writing along the top of another wall a quote by C.S. Lewis perhaps. A bookshelf would be a must have with all my favorite books and new books that I have been meaning to read (I'll get to you guys someday, I promise ^_^;).
I would also have Black and White Photos, some famous, some my own on the walls, not too many, the black has already crowded my room enough. I'm sure there would be more things, but all I can think of right now is lots o' paper and a comfu kitty bed for my fancy feline. :D
Rereading this, I see a flaw in this room. It has no bed. So I would like to add a bed, dark wood frame, that goes for the desk as well. ^_^
