    • Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers is by far my favorite book. It's a historical romance, but it has a strength and integrity woven into the story which sets it apart from the trashy romance novels. It is based on the book of Hosea in the Bible and is incredibly powerful in that it tells more than just a love story between a man and a woman. This novel weaves the story telling of the great love a perfect God has for fallen sinners. It is a captivating story and even though I know the ending, I am always finding fresh reminders of God's grace and love as I re-read it.

As soon as I read this question, this was the first book I thought of! I am a fairly new Francine fan, and just finished The Atonement Child a couple of months ago. A friend is about to give me The Mark of the Lion Series and I am so excited! She's such a talented writer, good choice :)
