I love reading-- I'm practically obsessed. While I love classics such as Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, I must admit that my all time favorite book I could read over and over again is the second installment in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Yes, this series has won many awards and has been adapted as a motion picture, but it's more of a popular culture phenomenon than a literary work of art. You see, during freshman year of high school, my English teacher told us to pick a book that had the potential to become one of the most epic stories we've ever read. Having read the first book a few years prior, I spotted the second volume in the library and thought, "why not?" In the days after I chose the book, school was closed due to snow. I spent every minute of those days off reading until the Second Summer of the Sisterhood was finally completed. Never before have I felt such as strong connection to characters and emotions. The personalities of Lena, Camen, Bridget and Tibby were so well developed that I had to remind myself they were fictional beings. In short, I laughed, cried and fell in love with this book.
