I both understand and am confused by why people are so indirect.

We always want to know what someone else is really thinking, how they really feel, what they really want, but sometimes when we find out we realize we didn't really want to know after all.

You're always the one to wish the other person would just come out and say it, whatever "it" is, but always feel too self-conscious to do the same yourself. It's frustrating when you can't complain because it's half your fault.

Wanting the truth but being afraid of it at the same time, frankly, sucks.
