Mr. Grumpy

She was winding down from the most memorable and special day of her life. This was her wedding day, and even though it was her second marriage it was still up there in the moments of life that are always recalled.

All the people that matter were there, from of course her beloved groom Andrew, her family and friends. But more importantly her two boys were there to celebrate this day that the family changed and grew again. Kathy's sons, Alex eight years old and Matthew four years of age were dressed in Mickey Mouse tuxedos looking like the little gentlemen they were.

The ceremony was done, the reception was over and the wedding couple was ready to leave to the romantic get away they had planned out when it happened. Kathy and Andrew wanted to say good bye to the boys before they left. Alex was with his cousins, but Matthew was no where to be found.

Everyone looked all over the place in the wedding venue but no Matthew. Panic set in with Kathy, as this couldn't be happening now, at this time of her life. And to top it off it was near down town Seattle. Who knows what could have happened to her small son in this huge city.

Andrew got into the car they were going to use as a get away car and drove the blocks around the wedding location looking for Matthew. Kathy's father started to walk the passage from the wedding venue towards down town. And others fanned out looking for the small red headed child.

Forty Five minutes later, he was found by Kathy's dad. Seven blocks away was Matthew, some stranger had seen him walking and looking at bugs on the ground. So she kept him safe until his family was able to locate him. This day for Kathy turned into an unforgettable memory, both with joys and a scary event all rolled into one.
