I'm very lucky to have visited many different countries and seen so many 'cool' things and places. This was the first one that popped in my head, so it's what I picked.

Growing up I loved to watch The King and I. Ten years ago one of my sisters and I were fortunate enough to tag along with our Dad on one of his business trips to Singapore, Bangkok and Penang. When we were in Bangkok we took a visit to the Grand Palace, which to describe it as ornately decorated would be an understatement. The outside is encrusted in jewel tone stones, mirrors, gold and silver. Beautifully polished and sparkling. While we were wandering I realized this was where the real Anna and The King of Siam's story was lived. The achitecture and the decoration were cool enough all by themselves, but to be in a place that had such a happy childhood memory attatched to it was what made it even better.
