- The Most Confusing Part of Life Is...Truth
...and lies. When is lying good? When is it bad? Can I actually tell you my honest opinion? Should I sugar-coat it? Should I not say anything? Is not saying anything lying? Is ignorance bliss?
People who lie get further in life. They have better careers, more friends, and are generally more successful. There are even studies proving that lying to yourself is beneficial to your health/life. It is practically beaten into our little heads that lying is dishonest and hurts people. But often times the truth hurts more. This is so confusing to me.
[To be honest, I am an avid truth-teller. I would rather be up front.]
