    • When I get home, I put on pajamas
    • Sometimes the best thing you can eat is breakfast for dinner, in fact that may be what I do tonight. Hot buttered toast and croissants and cornflakes with extra sugar.
Similarly sometimes the best thing you can wear is whatever you wore to bed, the things that (apart from the time I wore my pink pyjama bottoms to Waitrose) you never wear outside the house. Because chances are they are the most comfortable things that you own and you can truly be yourself in them. I can be stupid and childlike, but the black skirt-suit I wore to work doesn't show this. The underwear with tiny cartoon monkeys and the PJs with a mish-mash of ludicrously pink hearts allows for this.

Remember the scene in Tomb Raider when Lara Croft is flipping around on the bungee cords in her pyjamas? Remember how freeing that was? I may not be able to do a triple backflip on elastic, but I can lie upside down in an armchair eating a pop tart and watching youtube clips of people doing triple backflips. And you wouldn't want to do that in a dry-clean only jacket.
