- If I had easy access to a helicopter, I'd fly to Alaska this weekend
Just imagine, all the wide open area of Alaska...
I have always loved the great outdoors, and wide open spaces. I love getting close to nature, and just would love to see Alaska up close and personal.
If I had the money, I'd jump even a tramp steamer for a trip to Alaska. If I could still ride horses, I'd be dreaming of a horseback or mule ride to Alaska. I love to see mountainous areas, and either hike or ride my horse to the tallest possible peak.
My Mom was terrified of horses and mountains, but I am just mesmerized by them both. I see a mountain, and it beckons me to reach the top, to see what I can see from every side of the peak.
When I used to ride my horse to the peaks of nearby mountains or even hills, "Dusty" and I both were just drawn to the top, and just drank in the scenery from there.
It just made all the troubles seem so much less important, and the stresses just wafted away on the breeze and the beautiful clear blue skies.
Just imagine, all that sky, millions of acres of open area, with or without bears, moose and whatever else lives there.
Nothing could possibly be more thrilling or relaxing that just being there.
Think of all the fabulous photos you could take and have forever for memories, to show your family and friends, and even your Grandchildren one day.
Imagine the glaciers and whales, and the abundance of wildlife to see.
Yep, It would be Alaska for me.
Then, there is also Australia, but I don't think a helicopter would ever make it that far.
