• In defense of my vice: reading
    • I started really young. It was my Mom's fault. First one's free, right. She used to read to me all the time. One time she read The Hobbit to me and I liked it so much I wanted to hear the next one. She told me I had to read that one myself, and I did. It was a little too strong at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I read the whole trilogy, and I wasn't even in first grade yet. I wasn't diagnosed with dyslexia for almost a decade.

I don't think I could quit. If I see words, I MUST read them. They NEED to get INTO ME.

I'll even read a shampoo bottle in the shower. It's a sign of mind that knows no rest. Glad to meet you!
