A friend of mine decided to do a book club this summer and read the book Plan B by Pete Wilson. We've been meeting on Monday nights to discuss the book and to get to know each other.
Plan B is about trying to figure out what to do when God doesn't show up like you think He should. We have our plans made out for life, but sometimes God interrupts those plans and forces us to go on to Plan B. Reading this book has helped me to understand how I've been focused on the wrong things where God is concerned. I've been seeking an outcome that only He can give instead of seeking Him.
I've had a great time reading this book and discussing it with friends. We've had some great opportunities to open up and be real and honest with each other. We've all expressed the desire to be able to be real and to not put on a mask that makes people think we've got it all together.
I highly recommend reading this book. I also recommend using it in a small group setting. Pete Wilson writes in an easy to read and understand format. He poses tough questions we all have and leads us to discover the answers.
