    • Definitely pets!
      • I can't imagine my life without pets! I have had cats my entire life and six years ago adopted a dog. He brought us so much joy, we adopted another one three years ago. My furry family now consists of three cats and two dogs. Cats are generally independent and mine are all over the age of ten so they spend most of their time sleeping. The dogs, or the boys, as we refer to them keep us busy most of the day starting around 7 a.m. Our oldest, Hampton, is always the first to let us know it's time for breakfast. Other than early morning potty breaks, the younger one, Parker, would be happy to snuggle and grab a few extra zzz's. Our boys get walked twice a day after each meal so they help keep me fit. They are both mixed breeds of hounds and couldn't be more loving and loyal. They bring joy to our lives each day!

    • Which one?
      • This is easy, my sense of taste. I would eat a lot less if food didn't taste so damn good.

    • Where in the world?
      • This is so easy to answer I feel like I'm cheating on a test. i would choose to live in Germany because that's where I was born and the country is just so beautiful. I've been lucky enough to have been able to return twice recently and ever since I have dreamt of being able to live there part time. The people are so friendly (for the most part), the food is scrumptious, and the beer, well it's the best in the world of course!

    • Gone
      • During my last visit to my hometown I saw that my elementary school had been completely torn down and rebuilt. First I felt sad to see that the special place that I spent so much of my childhood was gone. Then I just felt old because often I don't realize that it's been decades since I went to that school! I also felt a little angry because my old school had so much charm and the new one just looks like a prison with all of it's tall white walls locking the children in to keep them safe from today's world.

    • Shoot first, ask questions later
      • I am a very cautious when it comes to my actions, but I often speak before I think which has caused me embarrassing and regretful situations. For example, just the other day, I was commenting to my neighbor how I wanted to get rid of the brick borders around my garden which had been installed by my homes previous owner. I mentioned how tacky they were. He replied that they are just like his bricks. Ouch.
