- I'd like to have lived as an adult in the time period of 'Genevieve'

Genevieve is a 50s British film written by an American who gently indulges himself with his observations of how Brits see his own countrymen. I've watched it a dozen times or so.
The characters are harmless, daffy, funny, romantic and not too well off. They are willing to act spontaneously, yet ultimately they respect the needs of others.

- What my shoes say about me

I wear sandals that cover neither my toes nor my heels, without socks, for most of the year. I have found that, if I do my feet don't make my rubber boots quite so smelly when I need to switch to those for brief periods.

- My advice is about career and life planning

Try to form a clear idea of where you want to go and then plan backwards. Use Boehm's "spiral" project planning in your life. Remember that each of us can be and do many different things in life and be very content.

- Our trip from Johannesburg,South Africa to Cape Town,South Africa

Naive Canadians, we wanted to see what it was like for people to live under aparteid. The trip was made many years ago, in a rented VW Beetle. Not one white failed to mention race (except for friends in Cape Town). Very strange.
