      • In response to: "Even if you aren't a chef, what's your favorite dish to prepare?" My 7 year old, Jack, likes toast with grape jelly topped with a slice of good ol' fashioned American cheese. He calls it a "Jack Special". Yuck.

      • The album I listened to first & most was The Kids are Alright double-LP from The Who. My friend & I blasted that one until the grooves wore out.

        Photo-a-Day Year 2 Mosaic

Not mine and certainly not the worst, but when my boy turned three... he grabbed at the freshly blown-out candle, looked at the camera & said: "I burnded myself!" We still replay that video 7 years later & laugh.

      • the central move is your hands around a fairly flat, big steering wheel. You make subtle left & right turns to the music. You must stop occasionally to pick up passengers (use your right arm to --swing-- the door open & shut) then don't forget to look into the rear-view mirror and honk the horn as needed.

Never fails and always gets you to school on time.

    • My first plane trip, from Chicago to Fort Meyers, FL
      • Frightened. I was probably 7 yrs old, way back in the day. We boarded by walking outside & up the stairs (vs. today's jetways). My mom wanted a picture of me at the door of the Eastern jet (just like the ones you see of Obama & Air Force 1!). I still have the photo.

But, I remember being terrified that the stairs would pull away, the jet would take off and poor ol' mom would be left standing on the tarmac. I was panicked!

I also remember exploring this huge cabin... walking towards the back with all the smokers. I found an empty row & laid down for a nap. It was cavernously empty... I guess a foreshadow to the bankruptcy of Eastern.
