There's really not a fruit or vegetable for just one season...
I absolutely love FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES & HERBS which is why I love farmer's markets and roadside produce stands!!
When I was growing up we always did a majority of grocery shopping at a local market and traditional butcher shops--where meat was cut & weighed to order then placed in red plaid paper containers wrapped in white waxed paper and taped.
I suppose that's the beauty of growing up with "big-city-fied" but still very much country-at-heart parents...appreciation for the basics & simple pleasures of life.
The choices are just too numerous for me to narrow down so I will broaden it to the whole fresh foods category.

- Sunrise vs. Sunset

Sunrise....Sunset
I am equally enamored with sunrises and sunsets. I have seen and captured photographs of some very lovely ones of both. Quite frequently I change my background or screensaver or simply just look at pictures when the mood to experience one strikes.
I would have to say that hands down my forever favorite location for viewing them is over a body of water because there is an incredibly ethereal beauty in the way it is endlessly reflected.
I've been blessed enough to see them in various islands of the caribbean such as St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Martinique as well as the beaches of Italy, France, Spain and numerous places stateside.
One other pleasure I've enjoyed over the years is to view sunsets or sunrises across the world via http://www.earthcam.com/ because it instantly takes me away to a locale with a much truer visual than I could ever imagine.
I feel that each signifies an ending giving way to a beautiful new beginning which at day's end rests itself perfectly in a momentary, peaceful slumber....

- My Epic Road Trip
-
If I could take an epic road trip I can think of a lot of places that I would drive just for the sake of seeing the scenery and truly experiencing the country.
However, one I'd like to take that could be most easily accomplished would have to be driving the the contiguous United States and visiting their respective capital cities as well as major cities of interest.
To date, I have been to approximately 23-25 states either by water, land or air and have visited many majors cities but not always had the opportunity to drive into/through them.
I would take massive amounts of pictures, eat all types of local cuisine, see the sights and just delve into whatever it was that state in particular had to offer or touted as its claim to fame.

- Heart Versus Head
-
I believe that the head and heart work in tandem creating the perfect balance in thought, reasoning and decision-making.
To solely use or rely upon one versus the other would more than likely create a biased, outcome that is trained along one thought-process.
I am sure there are times when it seems an inclinations leans one obvious direction but I believe that many more people are intuned emotionally (heart) and logically (head) so therefore tend to use a melding of the two when it come to conclusive thinking.

- Me, Renamed
-
In high school, I fell in love with the name Rowena....there was just something so regal sounding about that name and the perhaps its the fact that its a multi-syllabic name which I am really fond of seeing that my name is 3-syllables.
In all these years I have only ever known that one girl in particular to have that name and while that could be due to a regional thing...I think it's also so cool to have a unique, not-oft-heard name.
While I love and/or prefer that my first name be used in its formal state and not abbreviated....I actually used to dislike my middle name due to being teased about it. I would lie and say that my middle name was Nicola...until I met a girl named Nicola...I didn't really want to identify with that name anymore.
As I grew into myself I came to love the uniqueness of my own name and wouldn't dream of changing it to anything else.
I will often go by the first and middle together to create an even more multi-syllabic name (5 syllables) or use nicknames that combine the both of them for yet another unique twist.
RANDOM INTERESTING NAME FACTS:
*Both my first name and my middle name (or variants of) are each titles of and/or used within the title/chorus of multiple songs.
*My first and middle name together have a significant meaning based on my date of birth.
*Name origins (first, middle, last) are: English, French, Gaelic/Irish
*My first, middle and last names all have 6 letters
