Researchers have been debating this for ages, but what do you think: nature or nurture?

I think that researchers have been debating this for ages because the answer is both. I believe genetics impact how a person acts and thinks because everyone acts differently. I think people are predisposed to act in particular ways in differen't situations. For example, I know that I generally always get tired after midnight. People still have the capablitiy to process why they are acting in those certain ways. I think environment impacts the way people think by constantly changing the experiences that people have. Based on that idea, from experiences, people form their values and beliefs which shape their personality and actions. At times, this may impact their natural reactions caused by genetics. At least I know this to be somewhat true for myself! I could be totally wrong! If I had to say one is more determinant than the other, I would probably say environment because people form habits very easily in my experience.

Well the first thing you will need to do is put on a yellow rain coat. It doesn't have to be raining outside either. Then you need to climb into a tree (carefully) and hoot like an owl for fifteen minutes. This part is important. It can't be ten minutes and it can't be twenty, it HAS to be around fifteen minutes! The next step involves a stuffed black bear and several ice cubes. If you can't find a stuffed bear, ice cubes will have to do. Put the ice cubes in your mouth and spit them out for distance. Find the ice cube that went the furthest and step on it until it gets all crunchy. Good. Keep up the good work. Now you will need to find a lasso. If you can't find a lasso, a package of chocolate dipped cake donuts will do. Take a donut and put it in your back pocket. If you don't have a back pocket then put on pants. Good. Now sit down in a chair and crush the donut. Jump into a river now. The colder, the better. The next part is the most important and final step. You must eat a string cheese without taking strings. It's hard but necessary. This will cure your hiccups. I'm 38% percent confident in this methodology.

What's the biggest factor for you in deciding where to live?

Proxmitiy to the family is undoubtedly the most important factor in deciding where to live for me. I am going to be job searching soon and both my girlfriend and I agree that we have to live within an hour of family. Of course not all family live near each other but you do the best you can I guess.

Affordability as a factor would be in a close second because if you can't afford to live somewhere, it just isn't going to happen! I don't really care for living close to a big city. I would actually want to live as far away from the city as possible without being to far away from family. I don't really care for traffic and crowds too much.

Activities are important but not as important as the other three. Geographically where I live, you just drive up to the mountains and you have a plethora (awesome word) of activities to do. I love it. In the end, I suppose that job options are the most influential factor sadly. Hopefully I can find something that works for me!

I would choose a picture of the moon to represent my new company becayse the moon seems like something unreachable but if you try hard enough, you can reach it. This would represent the goals my company would aspire for. Goals that seem unreachable but are possible. My employees and myself would accomplish those goals through hard work, cooperationship and respect. To the moon!

That's a good question! I think the most important aspect of a gift is that it should be special. By special I don't mean cliche or cheesy either. A birthday gift for someone you have been dating for a month should be more special than an ordinary gift but it shouldn't be over the top. You could get a gift that relates to an inside joke that the you have with one another. Another good idea is a gift that both of you could do together like tickets to a concert. The more that you ponder about it, the more good ideas will come to mind. Don't wait until the day of their birthday to get them a gift because it will most likely not be very thoughtful. Make them feel special because of the thoughtfulness you put into their gift, not the amount of money!

If my friend was a guy and he wanted a smart dog that would uphold his manly image, I would recommend him buying a lab or a golden retriever. Another good dog is a border collie. If my friend was a lady, I would explain to her that dogs must be bigger than a hamster. I would tell her to scratch any dogs that could fit in her purse. Poodles are smart but they are a little foo foo. Some guys avoid girls with foo foo dogs. For a woman, I would recommend a mixed breed dog like a cocka-a-poo. Those dogs have the smarts of a poodle and the hunting abilities of a cocker spaniel. They are a good compromise dog for couples. My personal favorite dog is a cocker spaniel.

If my friend wants a dog, then I think he or she should surely get a dog. Dogs are arguably the best pet you can have. Dogs can read emotions very well and are known as "man's best friend" for a reason. Cats can be great as well but they lack the emotional punch that a dog has.

 What's your favorite season?

It was a close call between Spring and Summer. I love summer because you can always count on a warm day (where I live). Spring is good because everything is recovering from the winter. Trees start to get their leaves back, animals come out of their hiding spots and everyone starts going outside again in the Spring. It's like a renewal in a way. This is the only reason why I picked it over Summer. There are tons of reasons why I love Summer. My birthday is in Summer and that always makes a person want to defend a season or a month. I like aspects of each season. I really like the leaves during the fall and the snow in the winter. If I had to choose one though, I would go with Spring because you can't get to Summer without springing there first. I don't know the root of the word "Spring" but that is my version.

What's your favorite cold remedy? Describe how you fight off a runny nose or a cough.

The best remedy I think is drinking lots of fluids. I think fluids flush all of the nasty stuff out of your body. Getting plenty of sleep is important as well. Letting your body fight off the cold is important. Sometimes this is not practical because life must go on but you can usually always drink a lot of fluids no matter where you are. I have noticed that eliminating stress helps a cold go away quicker as well. I like using Airborne (the stuff invented by a teacher) every once in a while. There are many things out there but I still believe that drinking a lot of fluids (especially water) is very important. It is important to drink a lot of fluids regardless of having a cold but it is especially important when you have a cold. What's your favorite cold remedy?

I was eating at a little restaurant with my friend when were attacked by a swarm of bees. Rather than cower away as they drank our refreshments and landed upon our entrees, we attacked back. We used every method we could to trap the bees. They weren't going away so we thought it best if we trapped them in some fashion. We used our empty cups, bowls and other tools at hand to capture them. By the time we left we had captured 20 or so bees. The waitress thought we were crazy and I'm sure she wasn't too pleased with out course of action. We paid the bill and left without knowing what happened to the prisoners of war. It was a strange restaurant experience because we started out with talking about normal things but as soon as we were attacked we left behind our silly little conversations and focused on retaliation. I haven't had a restaurant experience like that since.

First of all, I randomly picked two cities in California and in Maine. I looked at a map and found the ones I thought were furthest away. They are probably completely off. I also based my selection on the names of the cities. Edmunston is just an awesome name for my cross country journey to end! After google showed me map I was sad that I could not go through many Southern states so perhaps I would veer downward after I drove through Colorado and the go North again after Alabama or something. Maybe I wouldn't even go in a straight line! Maybe I could just drive circles all around the United States. Who says I have to go in a line!!!! Maybe to save time but who needs time!!! HAHAHAHAHA but seriously I would probably start in Watsonville, California and end in Edmunston, Maine and then I would go fishing in Maine. I would eat a lot of seafood and head back.

During which decade of the 20th century do you wish you'd grown up?

The turn of the century would have been alright but it was too involved in the growth of industrialism. People were too caught up in the ideals of industrialism and the progress it may bring. As technology improved, people just became too distracted with consumerism and new ideas that they forgot themselves. Americans were also struggling with World War I which left a scar on many individuals. The 1920s and 1930s brought the culmination of mass consumerism and greed when America went into the Great Depression. The stock market crash of 1929 was caused by people investing more money they had (similiar to the housing market crash today). The depression caused millions of people to lose their jobs and their homes. After that, the New Deal brought hope that our country would recover which it did but then World War II came about.

The 1950s were too idealistic. It might have been a good time to grow up because parents focused so much on the family and household but there were still extreme gender roles and international conflict, the Cold War being one of them. The 1960s were to concerned with personal liberties that that this mis-use of individiualism ran rampid (drug useage). It was the decline of the ideals of the 1950s as new counter-cultures were forming. The 60s and 70s would have been an interesting time period to grow up. Some real good music came about in these decades. The 1980s were just strange considering the music and pop culture so I will skip to the 1990s. The 1990s were a time period right before the rapid spread of information through the internet. It was a good time nationally and internationally as living standards increased. The 1990s were caught somwhere in between the industrial age and the information age. This is my preferred decade to grow up. What's yours?

When is it better to be sorry than safe?

I think when you are in Las Vegas it is alright if you lose money as long as you had money to lose. If you have fun and lose some money than I think it may be money well worth being lost. It is probably safe to not gamble because the odds are against you in most cases but you have to live a little. Just don't live it up too much when you are in Vegas or other gambling cities! But if you have some extra gambling money and a weekend, it's okay to be sorry than safe on some occasions! Who knows, you might come out on top.

I think cigarettes should be called "death sticks". They really do cause death and they resemble little sticks. I think changing the name would make people realize the reality of the cigarette and not the idea which is portrayed by cigarette companies. Who the heck would want to buy a "death stick" that you put in your mouth and allow it to slowly kill you? Millions of people I suppose! At least alcohol has some health benefits if you don't drink it in excess. Cigarettes are just by-products of mass consumerism, human ignorance and false advertising. Let's call them what they really are!

This magical tree grows food. It senses the exact type of food I'm craving and grows it. This tree also looks out for my health as well. It doesn't just give me what my taste buds crave like twinkies and donuts, it senses what sort of nourishment my body craves. This magical tree grows food from every major food group and even grows food during the winter time. I love plucking prime rib right from the branch. All I have to do is water this tree weekly and it keeps me happy, healthy and nourished. Did I mention this tree will nourish other people to! To end world hunger all we have to do is plant these magical trees all over the world. Yay for magical nourishing trees!

There are many ways that the boy could trick the goat. For example the boy could lead the goat off the side of a cliff. I suppose the goat could kick the boy but a 14-year-old kid might be able to avoid it. This one goes to the boy and not because I'm biased to humans either.

It is so simple that it baffles the senses, particularly the nose.

Bacon will make your relationships better. Next time you get in a fight with your loved one, make some bacon and present it to them. I bet you one thing. Bacon won't make it worse.

Let's say your dog runs away. Make some bacon! It simply can't make it worse which means it can only make it better. The power's out. Tell us a story.

It can be real or fictional or some blend of the two, but it better be entertaining.

Once upon a time there was a young man named Quigley. Quiqley was an odd, strang sort of fellow. He had wirey hair and smelled kind of funny. This was because Quigley didn't know how to wash his clothes. Everyday he would go the laundry mat with his clothes and attempt to do his laundary. Everytime he went, something seemd to go wrong! He never has enough quarters, the machines are all taken or he just forgets to bring his laundary with him. One day a squirrel stole a sock from him and ran into the tree. Quigley chased the quick little creature into the tree and got stuck. The fire department had to come rescue him and he was very embarassed. On one particular day, Quiqley slipped on some ice and his dirty mess of clothes went all over the snow. He figured that the snow might clean them a bit and just went home.

So Quigley kept trying day after day, week after week, month after month to clean his smelly clothes. He was very distressed because his friends kept telling him that they didn't want to hang out with him anymore. Something had to be done! Quiqley built up his confidence and picked up his pile of dirty clothes. He was determined to do it once and for all! He went into the laundry mat with authority. Success! An open washing machine. He began to journey over to the lonely machine when all of a sudden a grumpy old lady swooped in and threw her soiled linens into the machine. Quigley sat down, struck with sadness. Then all of a sudden a woman looked at him and said "Would you like my machine? I'm about done!". Quigley quickley said "Why, Yes!". What a nice lady Quigley thought to himself. As she finished up Quigley prepared himself. "Uh Oh! I don't have any detergent!". Just then a stalky old man said "Here have some of mine". Quigley was delightened at the politiness of all of these people.

Quigley finally finished his laundary! After he was done he had a new sense of confidence. He went back that day and returned the favor people to people he saw having trouble doing their laundary. He even asked that nice girl who gave him her machine on a date. All was well for Quigley and he smelled great!

My grandpa and my dad both liked it so that wasn't a good start. As I aged I continued to watch this movie every Christmas and I kept catching things I hadn't the time before. I grew up with this movie I guess you can say. I began to understand the great themes present in the story and found I could relate to them. I am now trying to get my friends and family to watch it every Christmas (with resistance at times). I think it is a true classic in every sense and is worth multiple viewings to appreciate the story and message.

What format did you start listening to music on?

remember listening to my Dad's cassettes. I always remember him playing The Eagles and never rewinding until the tape got to the end. I personally became a CD person as I grew up. I loved buying a new CD and reading all the lyrics inside the cover. The problem was I always skipped songs to get to the really good ones. With cassettes, I was lazy and didn't want to rewind to the beginning of the song I wanted to hear so I just let the whole thing play. My favorite method of listening is still the radio (except the commercials) because you never know what will come up next. You have no control when you listen to the radio and I like that for some odd reason. Mp3s are the complete opposite experience. You have too much control, especially with Itunes and Ipods. They are great for eliminating the junk you don't like but I still like the good ole' radio which isn't a format, rather an experience.

Do you think alien life will be discovered within your lifetime?

No. I'm not sure aliens even exist. I know, I know... there is a lot of space out there and it would be egocentric to think we are the only ones. I can't explain why but I feel like there is no other life forms out there. I guess I just want to feel special. I just can't come to terms with beings other than human beings being out there (say that 10 times fast). I would be very, very, very surprised if aliens did exist. That would blow my mind. But until that happens...I'm not expecting E.T. to show up.

It is not just a self-help book, rather a book that is meant to build upon faith in practical ways that promote positive thinking. Norman Vincent Peale is an amazing writer and Christian. I recommend this book to anyone who feels they need to be more positive in practical ways (pieces of paper that remind you of Bible verses and other things like that). This is an awesome book and I found it to be very helpful!
