- Raiding the frig at midnight

How funny that this is the toughtest writing prompt for me? I have terrible food cravings and these are two of my top three*. There are days when I must have a hamburger at lunchtime and will do anything to track one down. It doesn't matter if it's a good hamburger, just as long as it's beef. Dairy cravings occur almost always at night. I get up at midnight, sneak into the kitchen and pour a tall cold glass of 2%. It calms me down and fills me up. *What is #3 on my list? Donuts!

My handwriting looks like something off a ransom note. Several friends and family have commented that it is so bad that I look like I am trying to disguise my real handwriting. This is why I stick to a computer or PDA for all correspondence.

My mother gave me an antique sideboard circa 1920. While my house is contemporary in its styling, I keep the sideboard in our dining room. It was originally given to my grandmother and grandfather as a wedding present by her parents. Back in 1920, they had little and this was an important step to creating a new home for the two of them. They faced so many challenges that it makes me grateful for what we have today.

AT&T Park - Home of the San Francisco Giants
With the technology that is available online today, I have little patience to wait for everyday things such as the DMV, the bank or shopping. It must a unique live event for me to wait. Three things I would wait for: 1) San Francisco Giants games, 2) live music concerts of my favorite artists, and 3) author book signings.

My late father wrote me a few months before he died of a heart attack. In person, he could be introspective but in written letters, he shared many of his feelings and concerns. Looking back I wished I would have saved these to keep a piece of him with me.
