        My CTA Monthly pass/Metra 10 ride Pass/Door FOB. I need it to get to and from work and in work.


        Phone - Old Treo 650
        I need it to call people, text people and generally get myself out of a pickle when I get lost.


        Moneys
        To buy things like Metra passes which can only be bought with cash or check, lunch or snacks from the vending machines. I also carry plastic money but that doesn't get used so much anymore since we are saving to pay for our wedding this summer. I carry money and credit cards and my ID in a business card holder because there isn't enough room left in my purse for a wallet after you have the klunky treo and cannon elph in there.


        Glasses
        I generally have them with me until I have to read a sign outside because just my "beyond 20 feet" vision is fuzzy now that I am getting older.


        Reciepts
        When I go to the store they insist on handing me the reciepts instead of putting them in the bag so they all pile up in my purse until I can't close it anymore. This means once or twice a month I unload all the reciepts on my desk at home and enter the expenditures into my budget spreadsheet. Until then they just travel around with me.


        Lipstick/Chapstick
        I have been wearing lipstick every day since high school but I haven't worn chapstick until this winter. I just kept having really dry peely lips and it was annoying. I got a berry blue walgreens chapstick and it now travels in the purse with me at all times.


        My ID
        It's official and all.


        Pen
        Nobody ever has a pen when you need it.


        Tylenol
        I get headaches and 8 hour tylenol does the trick.


        extra pair of earrings
        I broke one of them and had them in my purse to take somewhere to be fixed, then I realized how to snap them back together, so now they are just in the purse as backup incase I loose one.


        Digital Elph Camera
        I have been carrying this camera since 2005, mostly because I love flickr and like to be able to take photos at a moments notice. It isn't a fancy camera or take high quality photos, but it is very small, so I picked it to fit in the purse specifically.


        Ponytail holders
        My hair gets in my face sometimes and it's annoying. I put it up in a ponytail when I am at work and it annoys me or if it is a windy day.


        Allergy meds
        I am very allergic to dust and mold. A few hours without it and I get a serious sinus headache and can't think straight.


        Pile of business cards
        I have some of my own in there (although I don't really have a reason to give any out, they just come with the job) and all the doctors, vendors and friends' contact info.

        Dollars !

        My parents mantra was always if you don't have cash for it, don't buy it. I still live by this and have never had any credit card debt. Saving money is another matter though :)

    • How I'd spend $1,000

      • $1,000 is a nice prize but like all prizes is subject to taxes. So, if at my bracket that means it is $750 I would most likley save it. Sorry, boring answer, but we are saving for a wedding right now so that is pretty much the focus of all our finances. if we do save it now it will most likley go for the recepton payment in July later.
