- Things I Remember
-
As days go by, I find myself forgetting more and more things. Causes are usual, tiredness, stress lack of interest, etc. But I keep remembering extremely dumb facts (like the one that says that longest game of monopoly in a bathtub lasted for 99 hours), phone numbers that I'll never need again and places where I met random people...

- If I Could Speak to a Family Member Who Has Passed

My uncle. He was the one of my personal pylons next to my father, but he went suddenly - heart attack. I miss the guy every day, and there is so much that I would want to tell him and show to him if I had a chance. The good ones die young. May he rest in peace.

- A Reason to Protest
-
Back in year 2000. i was in high school, and it wasn't such a good time to be in Serbia. Milosevic's regime became really oppressive, arrests and raids were conducted out of the blue. He had won elections by tight margin, and the opposition claimed that his party cheated, and that election results were staged.
Finally, after more than a month, people went out on the streets, strikes and protests were held in every city in Serbia, demanding from Milosevic to accept his defeat and to step down. My classmates and I weren't even aware of what was really happening, but we wanted him down, so we took some more people from the schools and went outside.
It ended couple of days later, when protesters went to Belgrade. I recall that the news was that army had direct orders to "do everything" that it's in their power to stop the protesters, but the soldiers disobeyed the orders. Milosevic stepped down. We were celebrating. The man who led Serbia to wars was no more in power. But little we knew that those who came after him led Serbia to economic disaster... Two and a half years later, Zoran Djindjic, Serbia's prime minister, was assassinated in broad daylight. That's was the day when Serbia started to sink in dark ages again.
