Not at all! Even with all the talk of equality and gender neutrality, I for one still aim to be chivalrous. It's not demeaning women or hinting that they can't do things, it's showing appreciation for others. And when girls hold the door for me, I still jokingly thank them for their "chivalry", hehe...

- The Farthest I've Traveled from Home

Cape Kidnappers, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, 22 November 2005
I supposed distance-wise, the farthest I've been is Taiwan, since it's just about halfway across the world. The past few years have given me so many opportunities - I've been from Canada to Argentina, United Kingdom to Zambia, all that's left is Australia/New Zealand (which I do plan on visiting!). But after all this traveling, I've learned 2 things:
1) It's not where you go or what you do, but who you're with that counts.
2) When I travel so much, church really becomes home because it's so ubiquitous

A nice excuse to show someone you love them and do something embarrassing that you wouldn't do otherwise. But yes, over-commercialized and riddled with weird origins. Singles Awareness Day is good too =]
