    • Madeline is the chronic of children's lit.
      • My aunt used to buy me all of the Madeline books when I was a lil' tike. They are the cutest books. I guess they still have new Madeline books coming out.

In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines,
lived 12 little girls, in two straight lines...
        The smallest one was Madeline.

    • Ooooh...sick burn!
      • House in flames

About five years ago, I got some wisdom slung at me that was so awe-inspiring, it made me make the big change I should have made in the years previous. Now, regardless of what the advice was pertaining to in my case, it applies to many scenarios. Sometimes when you are having a hard time letting go of something/someone that may not be very good for you, think of this advice that I received from a dear friend.

If your house was on fire, I mean completely up in flames, you would be devastated. You wouldn't want to leave your house to completely burn up. You have so many memories in that house, and it is your home. You would want to try and save parts of it, at least, but there is no time. The room you are in is on fire, and you have to make a decision. If you stay in the house, you will burn up with it. If you jump out the window and escape, you will have some scrapes, maybe even some broken bones, but you will survive. You can always rebuild, but you have to save yourself in order to do that.

That is exactly what a toxic relationship is like. If you leave, it will hurt, but you will recover. If you stay, you will get sucked into the toxicity, and it will take over.

    • America needs dead people.
      • Paul Wellstone
If he were still alive, I would love to see him in a position of power. He had integrity, and he really truly cared about people. I think he would be really happy with the current administration.

        Robert F. Kennedy
If he would never have gotten assassinated, he would have been elected to the highest office in the land, and the world today would be a different place. Just like Wellstone, he would also fit in nicely with the Obama Administration.
