    • Tips for Saving Money
      • Money

Considering I don't work fulltime, or not even the same amount of hours every month I have to be cautious with money. There is always a chance that I won't be working at all one month and if that happens I know I have money stuffed away that I can use as a security-net.

        This is what I do!

        * All the coins and smaller bills I get, I put in a special jar that I'm not allowed to touch unless it's absolutely necessary.

        * If I have money left over at the end of the month, I don't spend them, I transfer them into a savingsaccount to keep for tougher times. There's no need to spend money on useless things just because you have money left over.

        * I always check out prices and offers to see if they save me money or if they are trying to get me to buy unnecessary things just because it's cheap. I don't have to buy something that's cheap unless I actually need it.

        * I always havea budget written down so I know how much money will go to food, living and other things. And I always save reciepts and write down what I buy so I know how much money I spend on things I really need, or if I have spent more money on things I could have skipped.

I don't mean that you have to be extremely uptight with money. You work hard for your money, so you should be able to buy something you want, just for the pleasure of it. But there's a difference between spending money and wasting money.

    • Aliens on Earth
      • I do believe that there is other life out there. I would consider it to be pretty selfish to think that we could be the only life in the universe when there are millions and millions of galaxies and planets that we don't even know about.

But I don't necessarily believe that this other life have to be "aliens" in that remark. I don't believe that they have to be so much more evolved and have technology that could take them as far as all the way to earth.

And let's say that there actually were forms of life out there, who had that technology, and where so evolved they could visit earth, then why would they? If they are so much more advanced, they would have nothing to gain by landing here.

But I would find it pretty awesome if there actually were aliens running around our planet. That would make our whole existence even more interesting. :)

    • In a Former Life
      • Dolphins

I am not sure I believe in reincarnation. I know some people who claim they have been hypnotized and seen their former life, and who they were. But I don't really think we can use this as any sort of evidence that we actually have more than one chance to walk this earth. I think it's a great thought though, to be given the chance to do your life over as someone else to make it right.

If I were to believe in reincarnation though, and if I had been someone else, or something else in another life I think I would have been either a dolphin or fish of some sort, or maybe even a sailor. The only reason for this is that I love water! I love swimming, diving, being under water and generally playing around in water. I learned to swim at the age of 3 or 4 because I loved it so much! But I still have respect for water, knowing the damage it can do. I also love to go out in my boat and fish, which is why I could have been a fisherman as well.

But you know, I have lots of interests. I love to draw, I love to ride horses, I love taking care of animals, I lvoe to travel and I love music. Does this mean I have to have been an artist, a musician or a zookeeper or explorer in eralier lives? Since I have trouble believing in former lives or reincarnation I don't take it seriously that I should have been a dolphin, but the thought is kind of funny.

    • Remembering Dreams
      • I love to dream. I love to remember them and think about them, analyzing them. I read an article about remembering dreams a few years ago. The article mentioned that by writing down your dreams and analyzing them, you would also teach your brain to remember them much more. And I believe this has worked very well, because I dream a lot and I don't have many nights when I can't remember what I dream about.

Sometimes I remember everything, right to the tiniest detail, but sometimes I can just remember the feeling the dream gave me, or small fragments. Most of the time, and I guess this is common for most people, I remember the dream very vividly when I wake up, but when I finally get the chance to tell someone about it, the whole dream has faded.

I dream a lot though, and I often talk in my sleep so sometimes I can get reminded about a dream I had but forgot, by people who have heard me talking.

    • Surprise!
      • Surprise!

This would all depend on the surprise wouldn't it? Getting a surprise gift from a friend, a boyfriend or anyu familymember could be a great thing, or a surprise visit from someone you've missed. I love that. But a surprise extra large expensive bill in the mail, no not so much.

In fact I would actually state that there are not that many surprises that I like. I wouldn't like a surprise party for example. For many reasons actually. Don't get me wrong, I would be thankful over the gesture, the effort and time people would take to do something for me. But some days are not just right for partying. I have to be in the mood and at surprise parties you don't really have a choice.

I generally am that sort of person who likes to plan stuff. I want to make sure I don't do any silly mistakes and I like to know what I can expect and surprises are truly the opposite of this. But at the same time I can absolutely love being spontaneous and I can love a surprise just as much as I hate them.

I can't really chose a side here so I'll just leave this before I complicate it even more. :)
