Tips for Saving Money

Considering I don't work fulltime, or not even the same amount of hours every month I have to be cautious with money. There is always a chance that I won't be working at all one month and if that happens I know I have money stuffed away that I can use as a security-net.

This is what I do!

* All the coins and smaller bills I get, I put in a special jar that I'm not allowed to touch unless it's absolutely necessary.

* If I have money left over at the end of the month, I don't spend them, I transfer them into a savingsaccount to keep for tougher times. There's no need to spend money on useless things just because you have money left over.

* I always check out prices and offers to see if they save me money or if they are trying to get me to buy unnecessary things just because it's cheap. I don't have to buy something that's cheap unless I actually need it.

* I always havea budget written down so I know how much money will go to food, living and other things. And I always save reciepts and write down what I buy so I know how much money I spend on things I really need, or if I have spent more money on things I could have skipped.

I don't mean that you have to be extremely uptight with money. You work hard for your money, so you should be able to buy something you want, just for the pleasure of it. But there's a difference between spending money and wasting money.

I do believe that there is other life out there. I would consider it to be pretty selfish to think that we could be the only life in the universe when there are millions and millions of galaxies and planets that we don't even know about.

But I don't necessarily believe that this other life have to be "aliens" in that remark. I don't believe that they have to be so much more evolved and have technology that could take them as far as all the way to earth.

And let's say that there actually were forms of life out there, who had that technology, and where so evolved they could visit earth, then why would they? If they are so much more advanced, they would have nothing to gain by landing here.

But I would find it pretty awesome if there actually were aliens running around our planet. That would make our whole existence even more interesting. :)

I am not sure I believe in reincarnation. I know some people who claim they have been hypnotized and seen their former life, and who they were. But I don't really think we can use this as any sort of evidence that we actually have more than one chance to walk this earth. I think it's a great thought though, to be given the chance to do your life over as someone else to make it right.

If I were to believe in reincarnation though, and if I had been someone else, or something else in another life I think I would have been either a dolphin or fish of some sort, or maybe even a sailor. The only reason for this is that I love water! I love swimming, diving, being under water and generally playing around in water. I learned to swim at the age of 3 or 4 because I loved it so much! But I still have respect for water, knowing the damage it can do. I also love to go out in my boat and fish, which is why I could have been a fisherman as well.

But you know, I have lots of interests. I love to draw, I love to ride horses, I love taking care of animals, I lvoe to travel and I love music. Does this mean I have to have been an artist, a musician or a zookeeper or explorer in eralier lives? Since I have trouble believing in former lives or reincarnation I don't take it seriously that I should have been a dolphin, but the thought is kind of funny.

Remembering Dreams

I love to dream. I love to remember them and think about them, analyzing them. I read an article about remembering dreams a few years ago. The article mentioned that by writing down your dreams and analyzing them, you would also teach your brain to remember them much more. And I believe this has worked very well, because I dream a lot and I don't have many nights when I can't remember what I dream about.

Sometimes I remember everything, right to the tiniest detail, but sometimes I can just remember the feeling the dream gave me, or small fragments. Most of the time, and I guess this is common for most people, I remember the dream very vividly when I wake up, but when I finally get the chance to tell someone about it, the whole dream has faded.

I dream a lot though, and I often talk in my sleep so sometimes I can get reminded about a dream I had but forgot, by people who have heard me talking.

This would all depend on the surprise wouldn't it? Getting a surprise gift from a friend, a boyfriend or anyu familymember could be a great thing, or a surprise visit from someone you've missed. I love that. But a surprise extra large expensive bill in the mail, no not so much.

In fact I would actually state that there are not that many surprises that I like. I wouldn't like a surprise party for example. For many reasons actually. Don't get me wrong, I would be thankful over the gesture, the effort and time people would take to do something for me. But some days are not just right for partying. I have to be in the mood and at surprise parties you don't really have a choice.

I generally am that sort of person who likes to plan stuff. I want to make sure I don't do any silly mistakes and I like to know what I can expect and surprises are truly the opposite of this. But at the same time I can absolutely love being spontaneous and I can love a surprise just as much as I hate them.

I can't really chose a side here so I'll just leave this before I complicate it even more. :)

A lot of things make me nervous actually. But it doesn't necessarely have to mean something bad, it could mean I really looking forward to something as well. But what makes me the most nervous is having to talk in front of people I don't know. Or getting up on stage for any reason. I have a bad case of stagefright so I get really anxious and nervous if I know that this might happen. Thankfully I don't have any hobbies or a job that involves any of this, so I rarely have to go through that.

I can also get nervous when I meet my boyfriend. Not in a bad way, I'm nervous because I'm anxious and I am happy over this because we've been together almost 1 ½ years and he can still make me feel this way. And I think that's a good thing right. I also love being nervous when traveling, going to a party or riding a new rollercoaster. I think it's good to be nervous sometimes. :)

I was born in Sweden, I still live in Sweden, but still, I can never ever, get used to the cold winters we've had the last couple of years. (NO, we are not a part of the north pole, and do not have polar bears running around). Actually, I am a really frozen person. Here in Sweden it's now autumn and we've had two nights of frost. And I am so cold I have to sleep with two blankets, a warm sweater and double socks to even get to sleep. I can walk around in a thick sweater even in the middle of summer sometimes.

When I was in Turkey this summer, we had great weather. 40 degress Celcius almost every day and I enjoyed it so much! I'm actually ashamed to say I was even cold and freezing at two points during this trip, even though it was the warmest weather I'd ever been in.

And because of this I cannot say that I have chosen to live where I live because of the weather. I live in Sweden simply because I was born here. It could just as easily have been England, as my dad comes from London. My parents moved before I was born to live in Sweden, because of my mum and the fact that there was lots of work here.

If I had the money and nothing to keep me here in Sweden I would love to move to any country that has warmt weather all year round! Give me extreme heat, I don't care! I would actually enjoy it!

My first reaction and answer to this question would be an absolute NO! I suffer from stage fright and can hardly stand the thought of being filmed or photographed, let alone being shown on TV in front of, maybe millions of viewers.

But if I would try out for a TV-show I guess I would have to chose something like amazing race. I am not a big fan of reality shows at all, but I think the concept and idea of amazing race is so much better than most reality shows. In Amazing race at least I would get the chance to travel and see the world and do some really fun tasks while doing so.

But in the end I don't think I would ever want to be on TV, and I think there are better ways to travel, right?!

I am one of those people who likes to learn new things, and I am also very curious about what happened the day I was born, what celebreties share my birthday and especially what happened in that year.

The year I was born, which I'm not gonna state here, was the year when England went to war with Argentina over the Falkland Islands. This year both a prince and a princess saw the light of day as princess Diana gave birth to William, and swedish queen Silvia to princess Madeleine. Both of them were even born in the same month as me. :)

This year we also had a really warm and dry summer here in Sweden and the district where I was living at the time had huge problems with forest fires. I remember my mum wanted to move back to where she was born, but that district also had problems with fires, so we stayed. :)

The most popular music during this year was probably Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, Scorpions and to some extent the wonderful Queen who released Hot Space this year. Michael Jackson also released Thriller and Beat it this year. And one of the biggest hits this year was Tommy Tutones 867-5309/Jenny... and guess what my name is. :)

This year was not a great year for movies in my opinion. For those of us who were old enough to remember, by that I don't mean me, the cinemas were playing movies like Blade Runner, Conan the Barbarian, E.T, Rocky 3 and Poltergeist. Sprinkle that with An officer and a gentleman, Rambo: First Blood, Grease 2, Tootsie and The Thing and you might get the idea. When the best movies of the year was Friday the 13th part 3, Halloween part 3 and Poltergiest you might get the idea. :) But I love horror movies though.

This year we also saw the introduction of the CD, or compact disc if you will, in the US. And that's all I can remember at this point. At least with specifik details. I know lots of things happened during this year, but sadly enough you always hear about the bad stuff and I want to end this on a light note.

I am one of those who believe that money is the key to hapiness for many of us. Some people only have problems with money. Some people would be happier by just getting a little bit more each month. Not having to worry if there will be enough for food, bills and clothes. Knowing that you will always have a little extra cash left over at the end of the month and not having to count pennies is an extremely important part of happiness.

But I don't believe that you will be happy just beacuse you have money. There will always be something to bring us down, make us unhappy. Having millions doesn't make you a happier person than the one who has enough money to make it through the day. But not having to worry about money would do wonders for so many people.

As much fun as it sounds to go into space I would rather have free travel for life. The reasons? I love to travel but most of the time, money is the big issue. I love to explore, see new things and meet new people. Space could be a great journey, a once in a lifetime experience, but what would you actually see? What would you actually do? Floating around in space is nothing compared to being able to hike, bungyjump, dive, swim in the ocean, lay on the beach, get a tan, cooling of with a nice drink by the pool, seeing historic buildings, going to museums... I would see the entire world if I could!

It's hard to tell what you would do if yo were faced with the choice to change something in your past that would affect you're whole future. Changing one single thing might lead you to be in a totally different place than you are in right now. I wish I could go back and choose a totally different education. Or rather I wish that I knew then, what I know now. I had no idea what I wanted to be at that time. If I could go back I would have fought harder to get an education where I could work with animals, instead of computers which I do now.

But at the same time, I wouldn't want to change my future. I am where I am now because of the choices I made when I was younger. If I had done somethings differently, then maybe I never would have met my wonderful friends and boyfriend who are so important to me right now. I beleive it's never too late to change things in your life, like your job or your education, but I would never ever want to exchange my job for the wonderful things I have now.
